Jobs to go -or for here?
Jobs to Goo... or for here? Cheney helped get us where we are today It took the oil companies 50 years to get the price of gas to $1; it took less than a year to get the price from $3 to over $4. The oil "crisis" of 1973, which led to price increases and shortages, was negotiated by the U.S. government, Arab governments and oil companies at the Tripoli-Tehran conferences in 1971. The current situation was negotiated in 2001 when Dick Cheney had his secret meeting with oil industry representatives. We may conclude this policy had to dramatically increase the price of oil to meet certain objectives -- drill in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge and increase off-short drilling to gain "energy independence." The average citizen is now desperate to accept this agenda. Oil is controlled by an oligopoly, OPEC and Wall Street traders. They can do whatever the government allows them to do, and this government believes in little, or no, regulation. U.S. citizens have suffered through the Enron crisis, the mortgage crisis and now the oil crisis. What's next? Food and water? STEVE ARISTOTELOUS SR. Oakdale more soon...
