This graffitti found on the wall of an abandoned factory complex in Dalian, North-East China, is a striking abstract image in itself, but it's more than that. It reads, albeit from right to left, as "American Dollar", or rather "White American Dollar" as there is another character missing to the right. What was in the mind of the person who wrote this ? It is a vague yet intriguing statement, open to any number of interpretations. My aim then, with this photo was not to attempt to interpret the statement, merely to capture it in the most bold and aesthetically pleasing way I could and represent it more or less as it was found, for others to consider.
